Description: The first annual Metro Atlanta Kids Recycle Day is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the Atlanta Civic Center. The Little Green Path Foundation and Live Thrive are hosting the event focused on showing kids what can be accomplished when we all work together to clean up and recycle. Items being collected include electronics, household batteries, coats in usable condition, bicycles in usable condition, sports  equipment, plastic toys, old school papers, used coloring books, broken crayons, kids orthopedic equipment, kids books and expired medications.

As a strong supporter of the Green/Sustainable Movement, I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to try and find green events available to the public. Even with that great tool we call the Internet, finding Sustainable expos, shows, and festivals is about as hard as finding a sustainable oil refinery. Well, to my rescue came Twitter. Not only is Twitter possibly the greatest social network on the web, it is stuffed full of every type of event, show, or expo you could imagine. This includes the Green Movement!
