Description: The Midwest Renewable Energy Association celebrated its 20th Anniversary Energy Fair from June 19-21, 2009. Even in tough economic times, the Energy Fair drew a record number 23,206 people to Custer, demonstrating that the future of renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable living continues to be bright.

The goal of Green Drinks KC is pretty simple: good times & networking shared among people working in, or interested in, environmental and sustainability issues.

These monthly events are very simple and fun! Many people have made friends, developed new ideas, and found employment. Each Green Drinks KC event features plenty of time to socialize and network as well as a guest speaker with discussion on a different topic every month.

There is no pressure or commitment involved, just an opportunity to surround yourself with others that have an interest in environmental/sustainability issues. Show up to Green Drinks KC when you can, discuss what’s on your mind and leave when you want.

Description: St. Louis Green Drinks has been going strong since the spring of 2005. Green Drinks is an informal networking event for people of all kinds with a personal and/or professional interest in local sustainability. It’s a low-key, accessable way to:

* find out what positive things are happening in St. Louis
* share what you know and do
* learn what you can do to green your own lifestyle
* connect with like-minded people
* or even find a job/an employee

Part green chamber of commerce, part happy hour, part support group – our gatherings feature panel discussions, films, or tours of local green places. Green Drinks typically happens on the 3rd Tuesday of the month and the location is always changing. We have new faces every time. Events have drawn an initmate group of 30 to crowds of more than 300 – it just depends on the topic and location.
