<p>•Oct. 8-16—Teams compete in 10 contests<br />
•Oct. 9-13—Houses are open to the public<br />
•Oct. 15-18—Houses are open to the public<br />
•Oct. 19-21—Teams disassemble their houses.</p>
<p><strong>Note that the event will be closed Wed., Oct. 14 and reopen on the Oct. 15.</strong><br />
The purpose of the is to Solar Decathlon bring attention to one of the biggest challenges —an ever-increasing need for energy. The solar Decatholon offers powerful solutions to this problem— using energy more efficiently and using energy from renewable sources.<br />
