Description: We are a local extension of an international movement (started in 1987 in the UK, got to love the British for thinking ahead) that has chapters in 488 plus cities worldwide.
This isn’t a networking event, but more like a neighborhood house party for “green” thinkers and doers. There’s no agenda – it’s just a chance to meet, chat, debate, socialize and connect with others on the Emerald Coast who are passionate about the environment.
We are not associated with any political, corporate or government groups in any way (although they’re more than welcome to come…as is anybody.)
We come from all ages & backgrounds; everyone and anyone with an interest in sustainability are welcome. We represent non-profit organizations, academia, government, small business, big business, self-employed, volunteers, students, concerned citizens…and everything in between. Whether you’re involved in green building & design, sustainable energy, organic gardening, or organic pet products …you’ll find like-minded people here.
Dress Code: What is a dress code! T-Shirt, suit or shorts, just come.
GD’ers are welcome to display business cards, brochures, info sheets, magazines & newsletters on our little,”green” table at the events. However, we must insist you bring no more than three and take them all away when you leave.
You don’t even have to drink to be a Green Drinker!
Over the coming months let’s try some new things ensuring Green Drinks is an engaging experience for everyone. If you have any suggestions or would like to lend a hand, email gddestin@gmail.com or talk to Dana at the next event.
